ADATA Turbo 16 GB CompactFlash Memory Card ACF16G533XR

I purchased this card after reading reviews for some of A-Data's other products. I have had it for about 3 weeks, and on my first assignment out for a client, this card failed me!

I took about 200 pictures at two different locations, requiring about 2 hours of driving and an early morning, only to come home, load up my card, and find that all but my last 38 images were GONE! I opened the card on my computer and saw a number of corrupted files.

I have shot over 20,000 digital photos in the past two years, and never have I lost a single one due to a card failure. I thought I could catch a break on price with this card, and what a mistake it was. I will never purchase an A-Data product again. I recommend looking elsewhere.

I've had this card for the last two months and have taken over 500 pictures with it. I've had no problems at all and am very pleased with it.

This is my third A-Data card, I've had a 4gb SDHC for 3 years and & 8gb class 6 MicroSD for six months with no data corruption issues. This led me to look for a new A-Data card for my Olympus E-620, it complements the camera well. I can set the camera in multi-frame mode and it will save at a consistent rate 3-4 frames per second for a large jpg (about 5Mb) as long as I keep the button depressed. I noticed this does slow down after 10 seconds but for all practical purposes you would use it that long anyway. Compared to the oly XD M+ card I tried this is fast. It's capacity is great at 16gb, unless you are lazy and don't download regularly there is plenty of room to take photos all day (or week). When downloading I have no complaints it works fast, no issues with losing any data after four months of use.

Update after 10 months the card just stopped working in the middle of a trip to las vegas. THe camera said the card was locked, I couldnt even download what pictures I had taken off of it. First Adata failure for me...

Last Update Sent card to Adata under warranty, on the card they sent back they had recovered all files (even ones that had deleted in past, that was unexpected). I cannot complain too much, it's nice to see a company stand behind their product without giving me any grief. I had expected to throw it away, thanks Adata.
