wonderfu ! wonderful! wonderful ! My money was well spent. good picture taking and very very clear recording. can't go wrong.I bought this on a whim and it's turned out to be the camera I always grab! I love it!Update: 1/23/2013
I'm going to miss this camera. I've had great use out of it, but unfortunately I was a little too rough with the USB and it broke and it's the only way to charge it, plus the USB was my go to method for transferring photos and videos to my laptop. I ended up purchasing three different pocket camcorders to replace it. Crazy, I know, but I couldn't decide, so I figured I could try them all out, plus I picked them up very affordably. I got a GE DV1-GG Waterproof/Shockproof 1080P Pocket Video Camera (Graphite Gray) here on Amazon and the infamous Kodak PlaySport Zx3 on eBay. I also picked up a Polaroid DVF-130 in a shade of green I just couldn't resist. It's not HD and doesn't offer any of the other amazing sporty outdoorsy features of the DV1 and PlaySport, but I think it may just offer the simplicity I came to enjoy with the eCam. So Polaroid aside, I went for ones that are more heavy-duty and waterproof. The USB on the GE looks sturdier and comes out from the side instead of from the top and there's no USB at all on the PlaySport. I know some see that as a disadvantage, but I see that as an advantage. When I get my new GE Pocket Camcorder, I will also use a USB extension cable with it so no extra stress is placed on the USB. I have the highest hopes for the PlaySport. Both the DV1 and PlaySport have some cool reviews! I know I've learned the pocket cam is the camera/camcorder style I like the most. I've tried traditional camcorders and they're just too complicated and bulky, not to mention, heavy. The old school cameras, even the ones with video recording abilities, just don't appeal to me. You have to use two hands and I don't like the way they look or operate. I like the look and functionality of these pocket cams and how they can be held in one hand, plus I like their screens. They're convenient, very portable, easy to use, lightweight and fun, so I'm glad I discovered the style of camera I love the most. It's worth it to upgrade to a few new ones. I'll place a review on them once I've tried them out. I've loved my eCam and I wouldn't want to dissuade anyone from buying one. Just be sure to baby the USB on it! (Note: Even though my review for the eCam is dated 8/2012, I originally bought it 10/2011, so I've used it for a bit and enjoyed the heck out of it, plus I only paid $34.95 for it.)
