Pros: Excellent compatibility and burn quality.Cons: No plastic "cake holder" case.
Disc sides can be confused in bright lighting.
No problems burning at 16X and even records well in my very fussy Panasonic DMR-E50, which amazed me, since it usually generates errors on no-name media.
Four stars, because the lack of the cake case, so save one of your old DVD-R cake cases.for the price they were last week $6.81, and the other 2 reviews, I was kinda skeptical about getting these. but since a friend was buying them for me, I was willing to take the risk. They are awesome.
The tops are blank with no "DVD-r 4.7 GB" or brand name written on them so that comes in handy if you have a lot to write.
The recorded side, like any other blank DVD-r, is a shiny blue color. or its very easy to tell which side is the top and which is the recording side. The top side is silver And kinda looks like a mirror. So the sides are very easy to tell apart
i've already gone through 22 of them. I haven't had an issue yet. These are awesome

I am happy with the quality of these discs altogether but they would warrant a beter review if they had markings on them to indicate the top. It's very easy to get the sides mixed up if you are in a hurry.I tried this because their 8.5 Gb was really good value in view of the fact that Verbatim's quality is now in question and Amazon having given up on theirs..... However this size is somewhat iffy and the shiny surface is just plain silly in that it is useless to write on and difficult to know which side is recordable and which not. Stick to Amazon even though the price fluctuates more than the price of gold any day.
