I bought this from an email that offered it for $9.99 no shipping fee. It is worth it of course. The picture is not bad(especially for 10 bucks), it is better than the picture of the dv-1200(I bought a used one). The picture is sharper than the dv-1200. The picture just a little like a water color painting effect that you put on a computer picture using microsoft picture it!Photo premium 9, but a clearer and sharper picture than dv-1200. For sure it is worth 10 dollars and is good for a kid to have as a camcorder and a camera. I dropped it when grabbing it off a table and it did not work after that. The only advantage the dv-1200 has is that you can hook it up to your tv and watch videos, and you can use rechargable batteries. But you also have to buy an SD memory card. I found a 4gb one on line for $5.00.Not compatible with Mac ONLY with PC. So you can't download your videos or pictures unless you have a PC.
Not as good as Flip cameras, which are discontinued. good for a kid since it's inexpensive. Have not tried it yet so I don't know how good the picture quality is. I will give mine away since I only have Mac.This is a great idea, and maybe a version of this is made that is of a higher quality, but this Camcorder is cheap in both cost and performance. The video quality is poor and the sound is horrendous. You can't mute while recording, so even if you tape off the mic, you still record an echo sound as if you're filming from inside a soup cap. Too bad, as the flip out male USB port for downloading is brilliant (and works well). This camcorder is good for kids (where quality of the end product is not important) and filming your pets strange and/or unusual behavior (quality again taking a second seat to whatever is being captured for prosperity). Better to find a version of this type of camcorder that costs more because it is worth it. This one isn't.
