The main reason I got this small camcorder is so that I could record my golf swing. It's easily able to capture 30 fps in high def and it's smaller than my cell phone. This takes up virtually no space in my golf bag, and it feels like it weighs about as much as a deck of cards. You'll need an SD card to record anything more than a couple of minutes, but those are inexpensive. This comes in clamshell packaging with a battery (of course), AV cables, a mini CD containing software, an HDMI cable, and a USB cable. I haven't used the USB cable because a USB connector folds out of the top of the camera and the whole thing can just be plugged into your computer's USB port. One of the best features about this little camera is that it includes a tripod mounting hole on the bottom. I was also impressed with the capabilities of the included software ArcSoft MediaImpression. You can create a movie from the camera's video clips and select mark-in and mark-out points with the click of a button. You can also use this software to convert your clip into one that plays in 1/5-speed slow motion, an ideal situation for viewing something as fast as a golf swing. This camera is able to capture with crisp clarity a golf club shaft that is in an extreme degree of bending during a fast swing. It doesn't have 8x zoom it's 4x, but really, so what!
Once I saw how impressive this was for its intended purpose in my case, I ordered several more one for a backup and one as a gift to my golfing buddy. This may not be the best camcorder for YOUR needs, but at $20, this was really an incredible deal and exactly what I needed! Would I have bought one and liked it at $100? Yes, but at $20, I bought three! :)This is not a professional camcorder or camera but it works fine for everyday people who would like a nice looking and easy to use product also the price isnt 500.00 either its around 55.00 which i think is very good price for what this camcorder/camera offers.Save yourself from a real disappointment.
Completely a waste of time. The audio noise popping and lines in the video are your first clue. Blurred video...... Easier to send it off to a recycling center.
