I have been using this POE switch to run 5 cameras for the past month. It's compact and feels very well constructed. It could technically support 7 total cameras, leaving one port remaining for up-link.My cameras have 2-4 random "watchdog timeouts" per day, though I cannot definitely say this is due to the switch or my cameras/wiring/software. I have yet to witness one of these from my monitoring software either.
The DC jack is on the opposite long side as the Ethernet jacks. I would have preferred all connections to be on one side as this isn't really a rack-mount switch. This is a very minor cosmetic matter of preference though.
If you are considering adding 4-7 POE devices to your home or small office, this is a great network component for you. I could not find a better switch for the price range, and would recommend this to friends.
