Seems to be a solid product. It works great and the audio is extremely clear from my PC to my receiver. Ends fit in snugly, comes with caps on the ends (I know most of them do but I've had one before that didn't) to keep the fiber clean.Not sure what was with the 4 star review, guy even said it works properly. Either way it's a solid product, if you're on the fence because of price like I was don't worry about it, it's a great cable.
(Note: Since it is winter if you order it and it gets left outside in the cold I would suggest you let it warm up before routing it. Much easier to crack optical cables like this when they're cold if you don't watch the radius of your bends.)

This toslink cost less than $3.00. It works great! Hooked to my optical out into my 5.1 system and the sound is awesome!! I bought 2 just in case. :-)
