IRP-6 Dual Frequency IRI,CFL,ESI,EMI,LCD and Plasma Proof IR Repeater Kit for all CATV,IPTV,CCTV,DV

This device works perfectly on my UVerse receiver and my other devices and highly recommend them for any IR need. I purchased this product so that I could operate my UVerse receiver, Sony BluRay player and other devices without having to open up my cabinet doors on my new custom built entertainment center. I researched these type of devices and was having a hard time finding a resonably priced product that would work on the UVerse receiver and did not want to waste my time or money buying and returning products. I contacted Infrared Resources via email late in the day asking several questions and received a quick email back from them the next business day. I also called them to ask a few more questions and spoke to the same person who responded to my email. He was very nice and very personable. I immediately placed my order while I was on the phone with him late in the day on June 20th and I received this device on June 22nd. It took all of about three minutes to set up and that includes locating the Infrared sensor on the UVerse receiver and BluRay player. The IR sensor is small and is streamlined. When I attached it to the bottom of my TV, you don't notice it is there. This produce works very well and I plan on letting several friends know about this as they have been looking for the same type of device. This product is a lot less expensive than what I have seen at retail stores, if you can find a store that even carries products similar to this. Most of the products at the retial stores turn the IR signal into a radio signal and has a tower that you have to have on a counter with the antenna extended.

I love how this product works wonderfully and is way simpler than its competitors. Many other similar products you see online have a big, cumbersome box to plug everything into. As if your TV area isn't already cluttered enough.

Now my TV is on the wall with NO devices in sight. I hide them away in a nearby closet. I hide my Cable box, DVD player, and Receiver in there, and have room to grow as I purchase new items in the future.

I installed this using the equipment in the title. Operation has been reliable, receiver is easy to hide. Two issues:

1. It has a flashing blue light when receiving an IR input. Nice to know it's getting the signal, but the light can be annoying

2. It will periodically stop working and need to be "rebooted" by removing power. Do that and it continues to work fine

REVISED:

The reboot process described above no longer helps; this device has stopped working completely. It was great while it lasted, but it appears to be too unreliable to bother with. The IRP-2 from the same MFR has great ratings I'd verify it'll work with your equipment and go with that one instead if you can.
