I was in the market for a soy pen, specifically one with good video and audio capabilities. I didn't want to break the bank, so I purchased this one and I am more than impressed with what I got! The video is nice and clear and the photos are equivelent to the early cell phone model cameras. The lense is almost unseen and the indicator lights don't remain on during recording. It is truly covert. The pen writes well too. All that being said, unless you need the best of the best for your secret service duties, I'd highly recommend this pen. It's a good buy for your buck!

Boy was I wrong, I started using it in my pocket to check out what it picks up and from how far away it takes pix with no pixalization. It is outstanding when you are not moving and taking movies. The sound is clear and the pix's are clear. I would say it looks like 600x400 dpi. Last a long time on a charge and recharges quickly. Only two bad points; when it is charging mine gets extremely hot. I do not know if it is just mine or all of them but I almost can not pick it up. Maybe the makers will let me know if I need a replacement. Second make sure you are pointing it a little high if you want to get faces in it. For the price it is more than a bargain. I bought this spy pen and have used it about 5 times.

It's quality was crappier than the HK spy cam car key remote that I bought.

The car key cam that I bought works every time and the quality is better and it was cheaper!

This pen was finicky from the beginning...It would sometimes not turn on and now it's stopped working all together.

Maybe don't waste your money.

Product doesn't work

1 push button on top of pen to turn on. This work most of the time.

2 push button when it is on to take picture. When you push button you have a tendecy to move pen resulting in a blurry picture

3. Push and hold button for 3 seconds to turn on video. You push for 4 seconds to turn the pen off. Most of the time when trying to turn on video mode you shut the pen camera off. When you do get the video on, 75% of the time the video can't be read by a computer.

4 instructions are written by somebody struggling in english. The video instruction says something about a green flash. Not on my pen is there a green flash.

5. I am intending to return it.

I thought I was doing something wrong, until I saw a 10 year old unboxing & reviewing this pen on YouTube. HIS worked flawlessly, but mine not so much. 1st, the LED is supposed to blink red & blue while charging, mine stayed solid blue as if fully charged already. So I checked by attempting to turn the power on...nothing. Back to charge awhile...by the way, my PC recognized the pen as a USB device and showed the empty 2GB micro SD card. After the suggested 3 hours on charge, still nothing when attempting to power up the camera pen. So I tried a hard reset as suggested, still got zip.

Now, I don,t know if there's a magic chant, or dance I need to to derive mystical power from this device, because the poorly translated from Chinese instruction didn't mention it...but I gave up & reboxed the thing for return. And by the way this is the second one of these I've tried...the last one charged, but never powered on.
