The first unit failed within a few days. I thought it was just a fluke so I ordered another one and it failed within minutes. My suggestion is: If you buy this, set it all up on a table and let it run for a week or two before you go to the trouble of running cables and installing cameras.
I have another Lorex security system that works fine, which is why I bought this one. I just wanted to upgrade to the higher capacity touch screen.Bought this system plus wireless cameras and it was awful. Wireless range was terrible, and half the wired cameras malfunctioned, no pic or sound. The lcd screen constantly froze. And to beat all when we had incident to show police, the memory wouldn't let us have it. Lost forever. Thanks a lot lorex....Take away the touch screen aspect. Works perfect. If I didn't know it had a touch screen, I'd be real happy. However, the touch screen works only when it wants to, which isn't often. Both the monitor and the dvr have been replaced. Lorex can't figure it out.
The installer from InstallerNet can't figure it out. Then again, he mentioned it was just his 3rd install job of this system and complained he only got half of the $1,602 I paid to InstallNet to get him.
