I got this system almost 6 mths ago. I do not change any setting with the record period 30 min. every section, not sure why most of the time it will never record the whole 30 min. but after 5 10 min record will jump to next section. so several times it miss the most important moment like UPS drop off package etc. I put a 1 TB HDD into it and the system should able to atomically erase the oldest record that should not have any space issue. Their original cameras are not too good the visible distance is very limited at night. I changed two out of 4 cameras to other brand name which is not too expensive but can cover almost 50% more.

Does what it is supposed to do. The device is easy to setup. If you want to see your camera remotely you will also need to configure Nat on your router. Easy for me, others maybe not. I would have given it 5 stars but the alerts seem kind of sensitive and I haven't had the time to figure out how to change that yet.

I purchased this Security system last month & have no regrets, video is clear & the infrared works great at close distance. haven't had a chance to test the night vision at a further distance yet, but within 15ft, it is great.I have 4 camers at the moment & wants to add 2 more cameras soon.

I'm posting this review because I've just now had to replace the WD hard drive in the DVR. This Q See unit has run 24 hrs. a day, non-stop, for many years on end. Logistics and packaging errors are not a measure of the product. The night vision cameras continue to return value for what they cost. I've seen the new 600 line cameras and intend to replace a couple of my 480 (or 420) line units with them. The English language instructions contained the usual poor sentence structure common to Chinese products but the meaning was not lost. I can and do recommend Q See to my friends.
