I purchased the VCR for a friend and she says it's plugged in and working well. If you purchase one of these make sure to have the channel selector button on the back in the correct position. My friend had never had a VCR with this button and it took her a bit to figure out why it wasn't working. The remote doesn't appear to be functioning but that's not unusual on older used machines. This has the best picture ever. The picture is solid, and the audio is just flat out good. The silver finish matches sony's line of wega tvs. I suggest consumers use monster cable for best audio and video.
