TiVo is a very user friendly DVR. It will record shows that you program it to record (usually just by hitting a very few buttons) but it also suggests shows it thinks you would like based on what your recordings are, or what you tell it you like. The guide is extremely easy to read and the search options are great. Works with cable or satellite or just regular tv. We have one on every tv in our house. I hate watching tv without TiVo now!
the item came to me well shipped and wrapped. It also was a used unit , when represented as new. It was still tied into the Tivo subscription service and could not be used with direct tv. I could not use it and was disappointed greatly. It resides in storage.Since I am a directtv subscriber it has no value for me.
