The charging system already stopped charging correctly and the other users are correct. You move too quick you Blurrr.. I'm using the 720P mode which does help but a tri-pod should be used...color is a little off but for the price I paid I can't complain..photos are only ok as well but the 3inch screen is really great and the camera is all plastic so very light.Luckly my remote controll uses the same exact battery which I bought for 6 bucks (2PK) else where and works great to use as a charger for the camera..I'm using a SNANDISK III 8GB class 6 SD card which works fine.
I did get very Lucky and bought the camera for 1/2 of the current sale price here at Amazon..currently 208.70 Best price around right now! I need to find out why the charging system is off or it could be that the camera just uses the battery even when Idle? I'll let the camera sit and the battery is less 2-3 bars in 2-3 days?
I do like how easy it is to use the camera and the ability to use the cable to connect the HDMI port on TV's to see and hear the video just made.( Have the Black DVR-840XHD for 2 months now camera came out in Late march 09)All rite the Vivitar Camcorder is a nice looking Unit with one problem!
The picture Quality is great out side, not inside where the lite is dim. The picture is blurry and the HD Video is very grainy. The only way to fix the problem with the picture in low lite, is to get a tripod.... But that will not make the Video any better, But the tripod will make the Video Great outside, Not inside.I'm very dissapointed, 'cause I was thinking in a better product (Vivitar) is almost a fiasco. The camera doesn't support SDHC memory cards like it says on the box and website, which means you can't put more than 8 GB of memory onto it; so you'd have to buy the regular and more expensive SD cards with faster data transfer rates. SUCKS! Also, this camera records great quality, but once there's the slightest movement on the camera's point of perspective (aka a shaky hand), then the quality of the video drops, even with Stabilization turned on. ALSO, the stabilization option isn't available for the WVGA 60 fps or the 1080p 30 fps resolution settings, what!? I'm going to return this thing right away, I hate it. i'm going with a Sony probably
