Are all Toslink cables the same? Pretty much. I believe, Toshiba invented this format: Tos(hiba) link and the head or termination of the link is plastic. Other optical cables have glass heads and are

seriously better but 100x more expensive. So... I took a chance on this particular cable because I needed one that was 100ft and most brands were out of my price range (for a friend).

The great thing about this 100ft optical cable is that there is NO degradation of the music signal. Optical is measured in photons or light and as we all know, light reaches everywhere (yeah!). Sorry

to digress into poetry for the moment but this cable performed like it was supposed to and a great price to match. One last thing, all optical cables and brands, 100ft+ have no problems carrying

the audio signal around bends, through walls, whatever. They basically sound the same so it comes down to price. The Cmple performed to its parameter.

Made hooking up a sound bar on the other side of the room so much easier and not as many cords.
