Bought for use in a raspberry-pi so that I wouldn't have to worry as much about letting the system write to the card whenever it wanted. SLC flash in cards like this isn't common aside from maybe Sandisk Extreme brand, and it is ideal for this situation because it has lower latency for writes and more endurance with erase cycles.
