Buy Philips DVD710AT DVD Player Now

This Philips DVD player is a tremendous value. It has component, S-video, and composite outputs so it will work with the TV you have now and the TV you might buy five years from now. In addition to being an excellent DVD player, it is also a superb CD player and sounds much better than CD players that cost much more than it does. If you need a replacement CD player, buy this instead and get both a CD and DVD player. If you need a DVD player, buy this one and get a CD player that is much better than your current one, as well as a DVD player. You will hear detail, nuances, and subtle tonal qualities that you didn't know were on your CDS. I don't mean to ignore the quality of the Philips as a DVD player because it is a superb DVD player, but it will be a revelation to most people as a CD player, because they've probably never before heard how good a CD can sound until they hear one playing on this Philips.

If you have never had a DVD before this is a great starter. It hooks right up to your surround system and the sound and picture quality are great for this price. I am very satisfied.

I'm really disappointed with this unit. I thought the Philips name was good enough to buy. It's not a terrible machine considering the price, but you get what you pay for. Make sure you know what you are buying. Read the specs before you decide to buy. This machine might be good for a second player for the kids, but definitely not an unit for a state of the art home theater.

This is a piece of junk. I bought it becuase it seemed like a good deal. I got it and everything worked fine at first , the load times were a little slow. Then after about a month and a half it wouldn't play any discs anymore. And I hardly used it because I was just starting up my collection. Now ... won't take it back because it broke down after the 30 day time limit so I have to try and deal with the warranty company. Steer clear of this product. I'd suggest investing the money in a decent player, it may cost a little more but chances are it won't break down like this one has for me.
