The battery life seems to be pretty decent, (nothing great) I can fill a 16gb microsd card on one charge (which is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours of 1080p video)This camera/camcorder is IDEAL for Snorkeling and underwater video footage! I've taken it on dozens of underwater adventures, as well as intense hikes etc. It's built for rugged use, but I wouldn't recommend treating it ruggedly. Its the camera you take with you to Hawaii, or the South Pole. It can go anywhere.
Has anti-shake, both 720 and 1080 resolutions and excellent picture quality. The colors are vibrant. The sound is a bit mild but pretty good close up. I kind of wish it filmed @ 60fps.
This is my first waterproof camcorder and I'm way stoked with it. Its held up to some pretty intense adventuring and still in great shape. Battery life is good.
I recently took it on a manta ray snorkel adventure. you tube "manta ray snorkel adventure" and it'll pop up under mobiyob channel.:)
Yes, the W190 is an awesome camcorder/camera.

This camcorder is a great 1080p mini cam. But one thing its not waterproof. I had this for three weaks and, when I tried it underwater the microphone stopped working. For those of you who are thinking about buying it for swimming. THIS IS NOT THE ONE!!! I would recommend the KODAK PLAYSPORT (ZX5) HD WATERPROOF POCKET VIDEO CAMERA BLACK (2G. But this is just your average 1080p camcorder.Read Best Reviews of Samsung W190 5.5MP HD Pocket Camcorder Red Here
My husband has been using this to record our daughter playing volleyball. He likes it a lot since it's very compact and light weight. He loves the fact that it is an HD recorder. He seems to be extremely happy with our purchase. The only problem was that we needed to get a larger memory card immediately. The one that came with it only recorded about 30 minutes worth of action.Being used to Kodak the first thing that stood out on the Samsung was that the USB is integrated to the body of camera and pulls out much like a flash drive. The camera appears to be very user friendly and the picture so far is phenamenal for a sport/pocket camera. Gave it four stars for I'm still testing it.:)
