XTPower 10000mAh External Battery Pack (Dual USB Output 5V plus DC Output 9V / 12V 2A) for Tablets,

XTPower 10000mAh External Battery Pack for Tablets, Netbook, Digital Cameras, DV Recorders, PSP, NDS, NDSL, GoPro, Smart Phones, Android Phones, iPhone 5, all iPhones, iPad, iPod, HTC Sensation, EVO, One X, Samsung Galaxy S3 with 16 Connectors + US AC + Car Charger Adapter IncludedI have a quadrotor-copter by Parrot which uses wifi for controlling/communicating with my iPad and iPhone. The flying range of the copter can be greatly extended by using a wifi repeater, but there aren't too many battery-powered wifi repeaters available in the marketplace that aren't junk or sell at a reasonable price. So I began researching how to build a power supply out of some spare LIPO batteries, but I don't have an electrical engineering degree and wasn't sure what parts I needed to control the battery's voltage, how to "failsafe" against polarity issues, etc.

Then I stumbled across this device during a late night research session. Wow--the description seemed to fit everything I was looking for...almost too good to be true. After using it for almost two months, I can definitely say I don't know why I ever had second thoughts! This one will serve as a trusty portable power source to provide reliable on-the-go ability to recharge nearly anything, or be a power supply for, say, a wifi repeater! The 10,000mAh capacity is a MUST: on a full charge it can provide power to my wifi repeater for over 10 hours, or charge my iPhone 5 more than twice, or fully charge my iPad2 at 2amps with some charge left over, and nearly anything else you can imagine. Other places online sell similar devices for around the same price, but have up to 50% less capacity than this one. Don't cheat yourself on capacity!!

It comes with adapters for nearly anything you might use it for: cell phones, iDevices (except iPhone 5, you will need your own adapter), almost anything that runs on DC power because there is a DC power cord and DC adapter plugs for any size you might need. There are two USB-out ports, one of which is rated 2amps for iPad, and one DC-out plug that is switchable between 9v and 12v. Recharge it with AC power at home, or in your car with the included cigarette lighter adapter. I've had my wifi repeater plugged in to the DC 12v jack while my iPhone was plugged into a USB jack---supplied power to both without a sweat.

I can't say enough good things about this device, and about the technology in general. Why don't they advertise these everywhere?!!

I was skeptical whether I would use this charger much. I now wonder why I didn't buy one sooner. I used to have to worry whether my phone or iPod was charged. Now i don't. If the battery is low, I just plug the power bank in and off I go. Works just like the directions say.

I purchased this battery by accident at a convention, when what I really wanted was another one of these http://amzn.com/B005NGKR54. I already owned the Anker and wanted a second. This battery worked for about a week and then stopped charging. I was unable to get a replacement from the manufacturer. My Anker started having problems after a YEAR of owning it and Anker replaced for no cost and even covered shipping.

I bought this for my GO-pack and I must say it is very convenient. It has 2 USB outputs which means it is very universal and a DC output. One small drawback is that it uses a charger. For an emergency device it would be more handy if it could also be charged via a USB but given its large capacity that might be unpractical. All in all a great addition to my preparation kit!

Want XTPower 10000mAh External Battery Pack (Dual USB Output 5V plus DC Output 9V / 12V 2A) for Tablets, Discount?

I have a new Droid Razr Maxx HD. It has a 3200mAh battery factory installed. This battery pack charged it once and was done. Now that is really bad considering it should charge the phone 3 times. Yes I fully charged the battery pack and I actually drained it and recharged it three times with the same results. That is why it is cheap, you get what you pay for. Go with a Mophie, they cost more but are worth it, now I have a clunky battery pack that gives me one charge!! Yipeeeee
