Purchased this video camera for an 8-year old who is quite sharp. I would not present it to her, as the camera took poor videos and pictures and I would not want to insult her. The included batteries did not work -had to find others just to see if the camera really worked. The housing is made of a cheap plastic. Sorry, you don't even get what you paid for. Hopefully I can get a full refund, as I am new at this Amazon shopping business.

small screen, dark picture, have to be close distance to get what you are filming.... bought it for my daughter but even for a child, it was uninteresting because she could not see what she was filming.This is a great camera if you aren't looking for quality, but you are looking for a super cute and easy to use camcorder. I love how the USB comes out and it makes it so easy to plug into the computer and edit and save your videos. Just make sure you have a lot of light when you are taking a video.Good starter camera for a 9-11 year old. Allows them to learn about a digital camera without investing the costs.
