I've had to share a Tivo with my brother since '05 but now that I have my own room, I have the power to watch whatever I want. The only problem I have is that those DVR showcases come on while I'm asleep. Why is that a problem? 1 I sleep with music on to cool me down after a hard day, 2 I only have 1 sattelite connection cord (so I can't get 2 channels at once).All in all when I'm bored I usually flip over to those showcases and watch whatever they got. The 3 that are always there are Dominos, Orecea and my favorite, Brinks Home Security. They changed the commercial for Brinks. Normally it used to be the one where a teenage girl thinks her date has shown up early. Now it's where 2 guys break in while a girl is using her treadmill. I also love the one for Esurance and Star Trek. Another one I hope they bring back is the one for the Complete Get Smart Collection from Time Life.
I only have 2 remotes left in the house. 1 is mine which stays in my room and is not used outside it. The other one is missing the clear panel on the front and the DirecTV button. Mom uses that one in the kitchen, bedroom and living room Tivos. We used to have one in my sister's room, but when she moved out and I moved in, we traded that Tivo for the one in my room. My room's Tivo has alot of programs marked "Keep Until I Delete". My brother kept the other one because we have different TV likings.
It's a great console, highly recomended and for a guy like me, this is a perfect product. Great job DirecTV.
