Bought this camera on clearance from Wal-Mart for my daughter. This would actually be worth buying if only it came with (or you could add seperately) a power adapter to plug into the wall. The big problem is that it runs on 3 AA batteries that last a good five minutes (if that) while the camera is in use. If you use rechargeable batteries they don't last that long. Also, the camera cannot be used while plugged into the usb port so using the usb cable as a power source is out of the question also. The picture isn't too bad. The audio and video are never in sync, however. But, who cares? You never get to record anything longer than about 3 minutes anyway. If someone gave this to me free, I would give it back.We purchased this item (one similar) to this last Christmas. Shortly after the first use, we were unable to watch the recordings on a tv screen. After being transfered to numerous people at Sakar customer service, we were told the problem was with the AV cable and they would "happily" send us a new one. After 7 months, 7 phonecalls, and 7 more promises that they would send a new cable, and they still never followed through. I have talked to several managers, but when I call back to speak to that particular manager they are somehow "unavailable". I think they have a phantom employee named Andrew and he is the scapegoat for any troubles. When you call to speak to him, he doesn't exist . . . yet he was the manager that made all of the promises.
I would NEVER buy anything from this company ever again. The camera itself was okay for it's inexpensive price (had it continued working!), but if you encounter any kind of warranty issue, dealing with this company is a nightmare!!!!
BUYER BEWARE.
Also, don't expect video camera quality . . . this is definitely ONLY a toy. Sound quality is very poor.

DO NOT BUY A DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERA FROM SAKARThe product did not work and customer support was horrible!
First I did not buy this item from Amazon my daughter received it as a Christmas gift but since I use Amazon.com a lot, I figured others could benefit from our bad experience with Sakar.
After purchasing an SD card (not included with the camera) she was able to try to take movies. All images were so blurry as to be unrecognizable. The camera would not focus on any image regardless of the light source, battery power or SD card. I called the customer support number but was told to call back later because they could not help me. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on permanent hold. I eventually hung up, which I believe was their goal in the first place.
If I could give less than 1 star I would.

My sister bought this camera for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas since the $30-$40 digital camera i had bought her for her birthday stopped working a day later (different company but same bad quality..)THIS CAMERA was an even bigger disappointment to my poor daughter than the one that just stopped working..
the quality is SO bad that you cant tell what is people and what is objects. It looks exactly like you are watching what's going on with your eyes open under water.
why do these companies even bother making products like this?
do they think that because they are marketed to children that it doesnt matter if they work or not?
IT MATTERS EVEN MORE! because a child's disappointment when something they have waited all year for, doesnt work, is much more upsetting than if we just bought ourselves an item that didnt work.
I hate to think about all the kids that bought this camera with their own hard earned money they saved up.
I hope target will take it back..I agree with the previous posts. My daughter and I "shared" another digital video camera from Aiptek. Due to the "teenager" usage (dropping it continously and keeping it in her cluttered purse) we were starting to have small problems with it. I decided we needed a back up. I happened to see this one at WalMart for $45.00. THIS WAS NOT THE BACK UP WE NEEDED. The tiny 1.5" screen I could have accepted if the quality was there. As soon as I opened it up I knew I had probably made a mistake. The instructions tell you that it will not even work without an SD card, so if you are looking for a cheap camera dont forget to add an SD card. I put in new batteries and my SD card and the only image I see is very dark and fuzzy on the screen. Dont waste your money. I'm making a trip to WalMart to take it back and pay a little more for quality. Oh, and ours is pink, not blue..I really dont think color matters at this point.
