I give it 4 stars because I bought mine for a specific purpose and it works for me but if you want it as your primary camera I wouldn't recommend it. I would buy it if I already have a good camera at home but I need a tough one to take to the beach, raffting, snokeling... (up to 3 meters so if you want it for scuba diving, this is not the camera for you)The batteries don't last much but you can fix the problem buying litium batteries.
Best about the camera: It's very light, tough, cheap ( I only paid 35 dollars, the price of 3 one-time-use cameras) and you can take it everywhere.
Worst: Batteries AAA won't last, slow flash and pictures are just OK.
Mine came with a pair of batteries and a case. The memory card wasn't included.
I hope it helps!Screen is large enough but is so dark you can't see anything. Batteries that arrived with it were dead. FLASH ISSUES: the flash will not deploy when you are ready to take the picture. Instead you get a message stating flash is charging. It takes approx 8 seconds of repeat attempts at a picture for the flash to go off. By the time you have flash the picture is over. Acts like a cheap disposable camera. Very disappointed. Would NEVER recommend this even for a child. In regard to other reviews I made numerous adjustments terrible product. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY, I RETURNED THE ITEM 2.5 WKS AGO AND THEY ARE STILL REFUSING TO REFUND MY MONEY. I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO ESCALATE A CLAIM. THEY ATTEMPTED TO COERCE ME INTO CHANGING MY REVIEW BEFORE REFUNDING MY MONEY.
Buy Waterproof ACQUA WP6800 ( Blue ) UnderWater Digital Camera Video recorder 18MP Max. Now
Every picture blurry, 4 different people tried to take pictures. Messed up my Hawaii trip. Had to buy waterproof camera in Hawaii to complete vacation. When I got home I packaged it up and returned it for refund. My review from 2 years ago has disappeared. This camera is SO BAD, I am to re-writing my review to warn you. The lcd display is impossible to see when you are underwater. Seriously, you can't see anything. You are virtually shooting pictures blind. The owner's manual is very poorly written. You can figure out how to take pictures, but downloading the photos is a total mystery. I finally pulled out the memory card and put it into a reader.Found my old review. It has more details, so here it is: I disregarded the lousy reviews for this underwater camera because I'm a very good photographer and I figured I'd be able to take good photos with it. What a bad mistake! Underwater, this camera is impossible to use. The LCD panel is so dark, you can't see images in it. You're shooting blind. You aim the camera at something, but you can't see it on the display. Forget trying to zoom, you're shooting in the dark! Half the time, you don't even know if the camera is turned on because the LCD panel is so dark. Out of the water, it's barely any better. The only place you can see the display is when you're inside. Who buys an underwater camera to take indoor photos?!
But it gets WORSE. I did shoot a bunch of photos the first time I used it while snorkeling in Hawaii. I just aimed the camera at the fish, and shot blindly. Back at the condo, I viewed the photos. (I couldn't view them until I was indoors) They were lousy...the colors were drab, the focus wasn't very sharp. (I've used $15 disposable underwater cameras on previous trips and had better photos.)
THEN I tried to download the photos onto my laptop. The Chinese-written owners manual is a joke. A bad joke. It says to load the camera driver that's on the enclosed CD. That's it. The CD has a ton of files on it, but I can't find a camera driver, and every time I attach the camera download cord to my laptop, the laptop tells me there are no photos to download.
So now what? I have to pay for the original shipping, plus my return shipping, plus a 20% return fee...just so I can return a product that is so totally defective, it shouldn't be sold. If I had gotten this camera free, it would still be a BAD MISTAKE.
Want Waterproof ACQUA WP6800 ( Blue ) UnderWater Digital Camera Video recorder 18MP Max. Discount?
Purchased this camera with it's mixed reviews as we'd used a disposable underwater camera last year. The cost to print the pictures from the disposable camera were more than the camera itself (over $20). Factor in the ability to delete pics that don't turn out and this camera was well worth the price. At 18 MP, the quality was as good or better than a disposable and it has a built-in flash. The downside it comes with cheap AA batteries that won't last. Better batteries lasted longer but take along extras as it seems to drain them quickly. Doesn't take great pics above water, but served it's purpose well. Upside we can use it again and again. Underwater pics are better than a disposable camera.
