Just received my Esky pen cam yesterday, charged it and did a brief test, and all seemed well. Its very user friendly, setting the timestamp was a breeze and everything seemed to work as it should. My light is off while recording, as per the instructions, don't know if its an older model as this seems different than most. But, the pen works very well indeed. even in low light (within reason) Not blurry at all, even while the pen is moving as its taking video. Objects move of course, as the pen moves but that's to be expected. The next day I placed it in my jacket pocket and went shopping. It had rained most of the night and the morning was overcast. I'm very pleased with the results. Take a gander at my video. I can't speak to the longevity, but initially its great. I've never uploaded a video before, I had to downsize it quite a bit, so I hope this works. I left the first part in as a sound test. But the whole thing is only a couple of minutes.used it for one of my HS classes, I was able to use Video for the Entire day and people didn't notice. IT actually writes.Built Quality:8/10
It's metal, screw thread is strong built, button kinda gets stuck but no problems after using it.
Picture Quality: 6/10
Pic quality is a little blurry, but you can still see alot
Video Quality: 9/10
Video doesn't lag , great when there is good lighting, it's HD and i could see far away objects in my Vid.
Sound Quality:10/10
Sound is crisp and clear, wide range.
You probably wont regret buying this product, it's better than others I've tried.The video taken by this camera was exactly as described, which was actually surprising as it seemed rather high than the competition.
Pros:
* Resolution is accurate
* Comes with 2GB SD card
* Rechargeable battery
Cons:
* Video has a bit of noise in it
* When taking a picture it has a long exposure time
Finally, there is also one other minor con that may frustrate those who do not know how to fix it. Do not view video straight from the included SD card, copy the video over to some location on you computer first. The read speed of the SD card is quite slow, and this lead to freezing and low framerates when viewing straight from the card.
All in all, I was very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this to others, as it held up on all of its claims.Easy to use, easy to conceal in my shirt pocket. Quality is better
in a lot of light. Color photos, color video and sound... can't beat the price!The Esky spy pen is great, but the only problem is, I just can't figure out how to change the Time stamp. I've tried everything, but it just will not change. I actually wish I cound just get rid of it all together. I really don't like time stamps on my videos.
