Mini 1.5" LCD 1080p 30fps Hd Car DVR Gs5000 Built-in GPS G-sensor Night Vision

Purchased from BrainyTrade due to them being one of the only US retailers I could locate on Amazon.

It came with the Camera, power cord, suction cup mount, manual, and a few other items. First thing I noticed is that the suction cup was completely useless. It wouldn't stick to anything no matter what I did or how much I made sure my windshield was clean. It would just pop off after about 10 minutes. So I had to modify an existing iphone suction cup mount I owned so i could attach the camera to it. Success it worked but now I have no iphone mount. Oh well.

It can support up to a 32GB Micro SD card and I had a 16GB Micro SD card on hand so I have been using that. It can record video and take pictures as well. The pictures aren't bad but its not very practical to just click the button while your driving unless you are at a complete stop. You could just take a screenshot of the video.

It automatically starts recording when you turn your car on and can record in 5 (maybe can't remember), 10, or 15 minute loops. The audio is actually really good, you can hear yourself talking clearly and music comes out crisp and clear. It can record in 4 different resolutions, the two I remember are 1920x1080 and 1280x720. They both record at 30fps and only the lowest resolution records at 60fps.

To be completely honest I do not believe in any way that this records at 1080p quality. 720p? Yes it sure looks like it but not 1080p. I have been recording at the highest setting (1920x1080) and it looks good but it gets pix elated. 1280x720 looks about the same just a smaller resolution.

It can only read license plates 1 car length in front of you on bright sunny days. Havent tried it on days were its mostly cloudy yet (could improve it because of less glare)

Night quality is meh, not that good.

Would I recommend this for anyone looking for a true 1080p HD car DVR? No. Would I recommend it to someone looking for a good quality DVR just for everyday use? Yes. For the price it really isn't bad but its obviously not the best. It surely is no where near the worst though. I think it fits in a happy medium.
