I bought this little "boombox" (with detatchable speakers) to use at band rehearsals when we want to listen to previous recordings of songs we're "covering," whether on CD or audio cassette or mp3 files. The quality is adequate to hear the essentials, although I wouldn't use the unit for careful study of important recordings. The controls are largely cheaply-made mechanical buttons, etc., but that's what I expected at this price.

The price should have been a tip-off. This made-in-China product didn't even meet minimum Chinese consumer goods standards, let alone average US standards. Shame on the seller for stocking this product; shame on me for thinking that value can be had on the cheap.

I got this to replace the one I stole from my hubbys garage, apparently he wanted his back.Short story, I like loud music and this doesn't put out.If Grandma needs a radio to listen to Jimmy Swaggert, get her this one. It's fine for that. Also the cord falls out of the back plug in.And one weird thing, You can turn on "fm st" , don't know what that stands for, but it causes it to hiss. Look in the booklet and it says" if you turn on the "fm st" and it hisses, turn it off.Alrighty then.Opps, was going to be a short story..Out of the kindness of my heart, I gave it to my hubby.

I am very pleased with the reception of this radio as I am in an area with poor reception. Reasonably priced. Looks very neat and sounds great. Only wish it had a stronger antenna, as that did not hold up well but the radio works great without it.
