I can live with the fact that the up and down buttons are reversed. I can live with the fact that there is no manufacturer to provide troubleshooting support.

I cannot live with the fact that when I hit Record, the device pauses until I speak. Then, if I take a breath, it pauses again. I understand the concept here, but the practice is all wrong.

The pause cuts out a second of what I am saying, so I only get the last part of the sentence. Allow me to demonstrate:

"...fact that the up and down buttons are reversed...fact that there is no manufacturer to provide troubleshooting."

If I was interviewing a politician or witness, how on earth would it be useful to only get the second half of everything they say?

If someone knows how to make the device record continuously without going into standby mode, please leave a reply and let me know. Otherwise, I'm stuck with a worthless $20 MP3 recorder.

For $15 it does an ok job of recording. You won't be getting amazing recordings out of it though. It does not record wav format like it says on the page. It only records in mp3. The functionality of the device is a little confusing and annoying once you figure it out. Basically, you get what you pay for with this device. If you just want to record a lecture(at close range) or take personal notes it will be just fine. Otherwise, go somewhere else.

Great recorder the size of a pack of gum. Great recording and playing sound, super compact, well and hooks to your PC. I could not ask for anything more especially for this price.

Instructions written in ChinEnglish weren't bad enough so they made the guide prompts on the device even worse. The buttons don't correspond to traditional Rec Play Fw Rw, etc. Should have spend more money to get something I can use.
