Worked right out of the box. It selects the input based on the presence of signal and does not need any power. I have connected a blu ray player and Roku box
wonderful... worked right out of the box! Easy set up. two things I wish were different but aren't a big deal... 1. wish the transmitter had a transmitter cord so the unit could be hidden better but it's not that big and obtrusive ( like a deck of cards with an antenna on it). 2. the receiver has the ability to use a cord with multiple ir transmitters for multiple devices, however they are all on one cord separated by about 8 inches... my devices aren't that close together so multiple cords would be better for me. It works and does what I need to the cable box when my other system wouldn't so I'm good with it.

It burned out the hdmi input on my TV and would not turn on after the first day of use. This is a cheap piece of crap.
