HD 720P Car DVR Camera Dash Cam Video Recorder Camcorder Support GPS , With G-Sensor SOS Motion Det

HD 720P Car DVR Camera Dash Cam Video Recorder Camcorder Support GPS , With G-Sensor SOS Motion Detection
  • HD 720P video recording
  • Built-in GPS module can record driving track
  • G-Sensor and SOS button to keep important files from being overwritten
  • Motion detection on/off optional
  • Without screen panel, can save power and record longer

Originally, I thought about giving one star since I was disappointed that GPS and G-sensor supposed to be there but either can't figure out how to have camera record that information along with picture or that functionality is not there. However, picture quality is HD so I bumped up to two star. It writes in AVI format so can be viewed using Windows media player. No special software comes with the camera. If instructions are clear with no grammatical english error I will give one more star. To earn 4th star, I need to see clear instruction on how to make GPS and G sensor information recorded with video. However, I feel doubtful that these GPS and G sensor are there. Perhaps it is a marketing gimmick to get people to buy it. So I feel like Amazon did not do good job of verifying claims made before putting up description on their website and feel like I was duped by supplier and Amazon. Battery life is short so needs to be plugged in to constant power cigarette lighter if used in motion activation mode for monitoring space in front of parked car. Also, comes with one permanent mount bracket so can only be used in one car and cannot be moved to another car. Most difficulty I had was to figure out how to set time. Instructions are not clear and has bad grammar. To do that, create TIMESET.txt file. In the file, write YYYY.MM.DD HH:MM:SS . Then plug in camera (with memory card inserted into camera) to computer USB port, turn on camera, then move the file to memory card. Then without turning off camera, follow windows safe eject icon. Unplug camera and use it. Time will be set. I tried to put the TIMESET.txt file first in root directory of my c: drive, then root directory of memory card, then in the folder DCIM (created after using camera 1st time). So not sure which method worked but keep trying, one of the location will eventually work. Before you plug in camera to computer, try to charge it first and use it so DCIM folder is created. Then plug the camera to computer to set up time/date. Very cumbersome. Also had trouble changing the language from default chinese to English. After a few button push it started in English, don't know the sequence, but try. Instructions to do so does not seem to work at first and I was frustrated and started pushing buttons not knowing what to do but somehow it started working after a few try. So far I have used it for 1 day. I might write another review after using it for a while. If anyone has any idea how to use GPS and G sensor recording along with video, please help!!!!!!!!!!!
