I am not satisfied with this voice recorder for the following reasons:

1) It takes about 5 sec. to boot, once it is turned on. Then, once the REC button is pressed, it takes another 4 sec. to start recording.

2) When playing the recorded file, on 25-th second it loses the 0.5 sec. fragment of conversation, thus a word might be missing. I checked it several times.

3) While playing the recorded file, it constantly generates an audible noise like `mouse' clicking about 4 times per sec., modulated by frequency about 12kHz. So, it sounds like a whistle with clicks. Probably, the unfiltered bias on analog circuit getting noise from digital circuit during recording poor design. When using this unit as MP3 player and playing MP3 files loaded from computer, it plays them great. As a voice recorder this unit is terrible.

4) With external microphone connected, the audible noise is less loud, but quality of recorded voice is significantly lower as well.

5) In the voice activation mode, it loses a word after a pause due to long response, so this mode is useless for important conversations.

6) Sometimes, while playing a file, whether previously recorded on it or loaded from computer, it does not respond to STOP button to stop playing, or shortly pressed PLAY button to pause, and only responds to long pressed PLAY button to turn the unit off. This is intermittent problem, and it happens approximately 2 times out of 10.

Poor sound quality & virus infected! This unit is not worth trying. I felt a full refund was warranted for the risks involved.

It is easy to carry around because it is so small, and the recording quality is high. What I didn't like too much was the instruction manual. It was a little difficult to understand. I think it was the translation.

The glossy coating on the black plastic case is peeled off near buttons

One button is defective

The product did not work

The manual is terrible (unless you can read the section in Chinese) the English tranlation is unreadable (the loudspeaker is called 'trumpet'... and the sentences do not make any sense)

Not worth it despite the cheap price
