Buy Sony MDS-JE520 MiniDisc Recorder Now
The mini disk format is the best way to record. The ability to organize the disk the way you want after you finish recording is a big plus. Also, you can erase the disk at a later date if you decide you don't want what is on it. There is a protection device on the disk so that you don't accidently erase the disk. Last, but not least, is the quality sound the mini disk format gives you. Cassettes will sound so inferior once you start using the mini disk player. Sony is the best one out there. I have read a number of specs concerning the other brands, and this one rates very high. Keep a look out for this one and you will be very satisfied once you purchase it.I bought this in the ever-popular, yet slowly fading MD Bundle set for Christmas. It comes with a portable player too. MiniDisc is great. It's a practical way to record from any audio device. Unfortunately, most people don't have them, therefore they don't have the "trade and borrow" factor as CDs do. (On the up side, there's less worrying about them being stolen) MDs are mainly for personal use thoughrecord on the home unit and take it on the road. I like the fact that you can create your own mixes. Aside from the non-universability standpoint, it's a great product. For sometime now I have been thinking of making a switch from tapes, what I really wanted was something that would let me make my own custom selections to listen to. Quality and user friendliness were the catch words and my options were MP3 or the Mindisc. After a visting Amazon.com, I decided that Mindisc was the thing for me. I read some really nice reviews on the MDS-J320 but also took note of its limitations. Finally, I read the review Editorial review and then I decided to buy this baby....the MDS-JE520. After spending a lovely weekend in the company of my new baby and its manual, all I can say is that this is it. Finally I have found the perfect replacement for the cassette tape. Its amazing how much you can do with this baby, very versatile, user-friendly and above all, the quality is just like (if not better) CD. You can make your own programmes, arrange them the way you like, listen to then in whatever order you wish. Basically, this is it....two thumbs up to SONY. But: For those with little fingers or those that are simply obssesed with little gadgets, the remote is big however, it eases entering track names and all. This MD player is made by SONY®, the orginator of the MD. Although I use an AIWA for MD on the road this is a great MD component, for the money. Face it. You don't want to spend $400+ for a MD Player/Recorder for just some extra belles and whistles. This is the best choice if you're not a Audio Pro.
