I decided to buy these and upgrade from first generation 2000's, earlier this year. The difference was noticeable immediately. The quality of the build was superior, the construction, the overall feel much smoother. I especially like the jogwheel-it feels much more like real vinyl and it does not make a plasticky cheap sound when you turn it like the old 2000's. But it was the waveform that really sold me afterall. Having used traktor pro for the last few years after switching from vinylI really missed the waveform. With the nexus and rekordbox you don't need any software at all. It has all the added features of software and more. So with all the effects, slipmode, waveform, superior build I would recommend this over the 2000's any day. Especially with the price almost being the same it is a no brainer. Although if you plan to use software I don't see the point of getting these>> but I myslef don't see the use for software unless you plan to DJ with Ableton! Step up your game to these or stay with traktor and a 4 channel MIDI controller..
