Arrived lastnight in the mail and had 3 cameras hooked up in a few hrs. You NEED the SVGA cable to view on tv/monitor. Picture is a bit grainy but will do the trick. Cameras viewing rage is about 100ft max. Time will only tell how the cameras will handle NY weather, ones getting wet right now. The dvr has tons of features. The instructions arnt as bad as some make them out to be.
Over all in the few hours that I have had the system up and running I'm happy with the way it works and the quality of the machine.
PS: the hard drive that these come with this is a WD blue. At least my 1TB is.
DVR system is good for the price easy to set-up and very simple controls lots of good feature. the network side with getting it connected is a litte hard to get hooked up but is ok if you really want to use that feature. the cameras have no visibility at night even tho it has 20foot night vision. video has good picture but i would have to say if you want to know what you are recording buy a dvr and cameras seprately.

This system was a easy to set up. The most difficult part of the system was getting the cable in place. As with most homes it is very difficult to place the cable. The system was very easy to navigate and set up.

Excellent option for home security, you can upgrade to 8 cameras with the same DVR, includes all the stuff needed for installation, easy install maybe the harder part was the configuration with the router and your ISP, if you wish to monitoring your home remotely.
