The high quality recordings, multiple built-in mics, and easy-to-use interface (buttons and screens) make this a good buy for me. Just a little bit of experimenting with the buttons and controls, taught me how to use the device. Getting recordings off the device by popping out the flash memory card is convenient. The optional wind screen cuts down on pops and peaks in the audio. I'm pleased with H2n. I'd recommend it to others as a standalone recorder. The only disappointment is when trying to use it as an audio input on a Mac computer running GarageBand. I didn't get that to work. The H2n wanted to be an output speaker instead of just an audio input. So, if you want to use it for a Mac, you'll want to do research to see if any one succeeded at this.
