There are way better players out there, but this isn't one of them. I received this for Christmas and haven't been able to watch a full movie on it. The movie freezes about 1/2 way through. Tried contacting vendor shortly after Christmas while it was still under warranty and no one could help me. Oh well, that will teach me to watch what I put on my wish list.

Thanks to USA NYC corporate clowns who's ingenious minds set to design and make this machine come back fresh from a sweatshop in China on a let's go, move it, move it, "chop-chop" basis, well, it's another company that probably soon will tank on the US stock market if they don't slow down and test market their products before releasing them out and to the public. For I have a number of systems that play MPEG-4, MP4 files and this one just doesn't cut it. It didn't even load up but 15% of all the files from a great quality brand of flashstick I have that works perfect for all other machines of mine. Of the MP4 video files that it did bring up, it would (when one file was through streaming) start to auto open and play other files. Same thing for pictures. Such will default to auto stream whether desired or not and to stop this you must press a button in by the upper screen panel to get it to "pause" on a photo. Poor design here on the buttons having to force a person to use buttons on both lower and upper panels to otherwise initiate an operation. I found the DVD player part however to work nicely and the picture screen quality for this was beautiful for it's size. Sound and volume too was not too bad with something so small, especially when I used my better JVC headphones, not supplied. For those hoping for more, this machine absolutely will NOT work for reading any word processing files from either Microsoft Word or Wordperfect and too the box doesn't say it will but I had to try this out of course, just in case to see.

Overall I like the product but I can see why it was returned. It plays most mp3's but some which hold over 100 items will not play.

I guess it can't handle the density. Thank goodness most of my mp3's play just fine.

We ended up sending it back after my dad opened it up and tried to use the video input and it didn't work.

I bought this to use primarily as a monitor for my swift hitch camera which only has a 2 1/2" screen. This DVD player has selectable video in and video out which many DVD players do not support. It works fine and will allow me to monitor the camera on the larger screen. I watched a DVD on it for a short period of time and it seems to work fine. I would say the quality isn't the finest, but what can you expect for $60.
