Duracell High Speed 16 GB 600X USB 2.0 Compact Flash Card Card UDMA DU-CF6016G-C

Duracell High Speed 16 GB 600X USB 2.0 Compact Flash Card Card UDMA DU-CF6016G-CI own a Canon 7D and have been using two 16GB Transcend 400x CFs. I'm very happy with the performance of the Transcend. I recently lost one the Transcend CFs and was in the market for another CF as a backup. I was hesitant to buy this Duracell for I have not heard of it before. But I decided to give it a try, for you can't beat the price. I got the memory about a month ago and have been using it on my Canon 7D. I was pleasantly surprised that this Duracell CF has no problem whatsoever storing pictures. I took burst shots and held it for 3-4 seconds, thus I took 25 shots and have no problem with saving pictures. I always set my 7D to take both medium size RAW and medium JPEG and this CF had no problem storing data with the burst shots. I see no performance difference when compared to the Transcend. Costing $42 for a 16GB (the cheapest 16GB that I can find), I'm going to buy another CF as a backup.

I've been using this card for a few weeks now and I've had at least ten bad files. I've since switched back to my Sandisk card and havent had it occur since leaving me to believe there's a possible issue with the card. I've formatted using the camera as well as running a check disk inside windows and no issues were found.

Not sure I would recommend one just yet.

I bought this card because it seemed like an unbelievable value for the price. 16 GB and 600x speed for $37 dollars? Normally I wouln't have believed it, but Duracell is a name I have always trusted. However, this card became corrupt, or was already corrupt, about 500 photos in, and right in the middle of a professional shoot. I lost about 1/2 my photos. Luckily I was able to salvage enough photos for the client, but I never want to go through that sort of stress again, so I will go back to buying my usual, and very dependable, Lexar and SanDisk cards. Too bad, because I have bought Duracell rechargeable batteries, instead of the Canon brand batteries, for my Canon SLR at great savings and with great results. Wish I could say the same for their memory cards.

Received the item on schedule from Amazon. It has the good price point for the capacity and speed. However, I am not sure about the reliability. The first time I used it, all the pictures came up fine. However, the second time I used after reformatting it on the camera (Canon 7D), I encountered some corruption in the JPG and RAW files. Some pictures were unable to open. I lost about 30 pictures out of 800 total pictures taken. Those files couldn't be opened either from the camera preview or card reader. I was so frustrated by missimg those pictures. I don't know if the memory card is defective. Beware and take precaution.

I took this card out and used it to take pictures of my daughter at the play ground. Gave me an error about 45 pics in. Turned off my camera and turned it back on. All my pictures were gone. Had to reformat it to get it working again. Started taking more pictures and then when I get home to take the pictures off my camera they are all gone again. Now I can't even reformat the card. Returning this garbage and getting something else. Seen other Canon 7D users rave about this card and thought for the price it would be a good deal. Boy was I wrong!
