I've had this dvd player for about a year now. It quit working, by which i mean it lost the ability to load any disc, after a little over three months. Not wanting to settle for the fact that I wasted money on this peice of junk I decided to try it again before tossing it out. Somehow, after a sitting a couple of days, it started working again, only to freeze up in the middle of a movie. I let it sit for about a week and several tries later I got it to load a disc only to freeze up again partway through the movie. This has gone on for about a year now and it finally seems to have bit the dust as I can't get it to load, nor will it give me my disc back. I've spent more time trying to get this thing to work than I have watching movies on it. For what it's worth, this is the 3rd Samsung product that has let me down; bye bye Samsung!

I've had the asian piece of junk for about a year, then.....the player wouldn't play. It wouldn't open. It wouldn't load. It WOULD stop in the middle of an episode of ANY DVD. Save your money. But most of all, stay away from Samsmug.
