This was not one of my better purchases, wasn't built to last. And may with regular use need replacing in a very short amount of time. This Cable does work however!
It's in fact so good, we often don't use the audio recorded on the Tascam but instead use what's recorded on the camera's card.

This cable solved a basic condition of many workers, and that is good distribution of gain. It helped to divide the gain structure equally between all parts of the recording chain. This makes more devices with a design flaw, far more usable.Minus 1 cable could be linger. Records better audio cue track from Tascam Dr-40 but still not as good as Dr-40. Also cannot monitor audio while recording and cannot monitor video and audio on playback without external LCD (HDMI or Composite) with audio RCA to headphone adapter because external audio playback bypasses Live View and sends audio and video out together. Without an onboard headphone jack on the 5d Live View only plays audio through the speaker.I use the attenuator to change a headphone level signal to a stereo microphone input to a video camera. Works great no degradation of tone. fast shipping. highly recommend if you have a similar application
