VideoSecu DVD DVR VCR Wall Mount Bracket Component Shelf for DVD Player DSS Receiver Cable Box --TV

VideoSecu DVD DVR VCR Wall Mount Bracket Component Shelf for DVD Player DSS Receiver Cable Box --TV Mount Attachable MDVD03B M01Bought this to mount a Direct TV receiver below a wall mount TV in the kitchen. I chose this one because it was adjustable and inexpensive.

The instructions were clear and the unit was easy to mount. My only complaint is the nylon strap to secure the device to the mount. It is very flimsy and the buckle does not hold tight. I solved this with a $2.99 strap and buckle from ACE hardware.

It is sturdy enough for its intended use without any frills.

I have a pasasonic DMP-BD30K blu ray player. if you're familiar with the model it has a nice thin profile, however it is very wide and deep. I originally bought a nice floating shelf, about 7 inches deep, with the hdmi and power cables in the back, it was a no go. The wall anchors pulled out and the shelf tilted after one month. So I went on Amazon and settled on this item, I'm very satisfied. It is a sturdy mount, it will hold least 10 15 lbs. The nicest thing about the unit is the ability to adjust the shelf depth and the width. This is a fantastic idea. I currently have my blu ray player sticking out sideways from the wall, the shelf adjusted perfectly for the unit and supports it wonderfully. The design and look matches my wall mounted Sony flat screen, it would match most any tv on the market. I'm very satisfied and would def recommend to anyone in the market for a nice shelf to compliment your wall mounted tv.

Opted for this product as a low-profile support for the central channel speaker. Found it unusable, both from functional and construction quality points of view.

Considering the mount (the vertical piece): Firstly, it is made of inferior materials which do not provide enough structural integrity. The metal tongues that connect the pieces bend way too easily, which is a surprise given their apparent thickness. Evidently, the bars are not made of quality steel but of some cheaper alloy. The whole assembly wobbles back and forth at the joint points. All in all, I was not left with an impression of structural integrity that would match the sturdiness of the TV mount itself.

Considering the support piece: the product description states the max weight of 18 lib. 1.8 (one point eight) perhaps is a more realistic estimate. The whole lower part is flimsy. The extension arms are poorly designed and are outright shabby when extended to full length. There is no way to fix either the arms length or the angle. As the result, whatever you'd put on top of the support piece would sway to a degree far surpassing what I'd consider to be stable. Still, there is a bigger issue: if you intend to put anything with a weight of few pounds and the center of gravity but a few inches out off the wall (like, for instance, a 5 pound box with a 10" depth to it), the whole thing will tilt down as there is not enough strength in the support arms to counteract the created lever effect.

I think the whole design is a great idea but unfortunately implemented with disregard to the laws of mechanical engineering. Back to the People's Republic it goes.

I purchased this to match the stand for mounting my cable box and DVD unit under my 32" LCD TV. It installed very easily and looks good. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a low profile stylish shelf to accompany their TV.

I have been using this DVD wall-mount bracket to hold a Blu-Ray player on my wall below my TV. I think that it is a great product, and would definitely recommend this to other people. The only downside of this (which really isn't a big deal at all) is that the strap provided to secure the DVD unit on this mount was not long enough to fit around my Blu-Ray player. The Blu-Ray player has not really moved, and is at no risk of falling off the bracket without the strap, but it would have been nice to have a strap that is too long that can be cut instead of a strap that is too short.
