This dvd player was way more than I exspected!!! It does everything. Couldnt be happier. This is my first review on Amazon. I have rarely found a product to be so good or so bad that I had to review, but I must caution potential purchasers of this DVD player what to expect. I have owned 3 of these devices and I will not own another. I got sucked in by the price and if all you want is a DVD player that lasts about 6 months, you should be fine. I haven't had one last more than a year, so although it worked great when it was working, once it quits reading discs, plan on replacing.I bought this for my husband when we were dating. That was 7 years ago. It has survived two moves and two sets of sticky little fingers. When the expensive players, including our blu-ray players, wouldn't play a DVD, I would go grab the Magnavox. NEVER let me down. Last week it finally bought the farm. Sad face. It's small and simple but will, hopefully, give you years of use. I am buying another!! But not here, not now. Holy crow! I can get it brand new at WalMart cheaper. Geeez. Shipping price robbery!I purchased one of these that was pre-owned, paid ten bucks, and it's worked wonderfully. Not a single problem in nearly a year, and I have kids. It's a low-end machine so don't expect a ton of extras, but it does what it's supposed to do and does it flawlessly. Four stars rather than five only because it is such a minimalist machine and because I occasionally have to press the buttons on the remote more than once, but that could be the remote itself (which is an aftermarket all-in-one). Still, great product for the money.
