Granted, this DVR comes with a sizable learning curve attached. Since i'm heavy into computers and the like, this wasn't terribly hard to get the hang of, but I can imagine someone like my mom or dad who just wants a minor surveillance system installed in their homes. This DVR is great, but can baffle a novice. IF you still want to try it out, be ready to do a bit of trial and error. Even I had to deal with some trial and error. And for the money, it was worth it.
It is very easy to install and works good. It is not very user friendly when it comes to reviewing video or live feed on your smartphone.

I bought two of these DVR, they work perfectly and the installation is very simple. I used to have my cameras working in my PC (with a hard disk dedicated) and this was very unstable, now with this DVR I solved the problem.
