From start to finish, a poor product.The buttons are awkwardly placed, and difficult to press. I found myself having to hit them two or three times to get a response. The buttons wiggle around like they're poorly seated in the device.
The menu is absolutely incomprehensible, and requires that you carry around a written key to understand the codes if you want to change anything or reformat the card. Setting the date and time takes forever. Menu navigation is performed on a tiny little LCD screen that looks like something from the 1980s.
The bracket for mounting it on a bar was too small to fit on some handlebars. The lever to release the camera from the bracket is tiny and difficult to access. You really have to struggle to get the camera off of the bracket.
When the camera arrived, one of the screws was loose. I tried to tighten it with an eyeglass screwdriver, but the screw just turned and turned without going in, as though the threads were stripped. This is a particular problem because the screw sits in the track that the mounting bracket uses, so the loose screw gets in the way of sliding the camera on and off of the bracket.
When I plugged it in to my Mac, nothing happened. It's supposed to be Mac and PC compatible, but guess what -the instructions are PC-only. I couldn't get the camera to appear in the Finder, in Disk Utility, in iPhoto, or in Aperture.
Picture quality is not good. Grainy and blurry, and it does not handle well in the dark at all. Audio quality is even worse -quite muffled. It looks like something from a first-generation cellphone camera. Videos are compressed in H.264. At full resolution, the files work out to about 100 megs per minute, so you could record about 40 minutes on a 4 gig card.
MicroSD card is not included. The battery is non-replaceable, so if it wears out, you're out of luck.
I'll be returning it to Amazon.

Bad manualpoorly written and doesn't explain everything
Camera doesn't work, it turns on, that is it...rest of buttons don't work or function.
i like the size and how it fits helmet, but very unhappy with end product
should avoid as there is no support for this product either.I first tried a friend's GOPRO. There were features that I did not like about the $298 camera so I thought i would try the Coleman. First good feature is excellent video quality. Second is low light reaction. very fast. It is a very light unit, about 2 ounces. has good mounting hardware. When it comes to operation is where problems show up. First display is extremly small and not all of the display icons work all the time. You will constantly be resetting the modes. There is supposed to be an audible signal to tell when the power on button has been pressed. It is so faint you have to unclip the unit and visually make certain you have power. There is supposed to be 3 minute delay before auto power off but mine was always 52 sec. The large button starts the film rolling and again the audio signal is so weak that most of the time you cannot hear it so you don't know if recording has acutally started. Audio recording is terrible. At 45 mph on skis the noise is horrific with a lot of clicking even at slower speeds. I have had this unit in for repairs twice in one year and am waiting on it now just as a ski trip is about to begin. I guess that at $119 compared to $300 i should accept that you get what you pay for.I recently purchased this item and I am looking through the manual while charging it and this camera is really bad for the price really cheap feeling.
I would recommend go roam instead for little bit more it has 5mp sensor vs this 1.6mp sensor.
