Ok...truth be told, first. The buyer has to provide and install a SATA HDD (Hard drive) for the unit to work. That said, installing the HDD is easy. It takes less than 5 minutes.The DVR is an excellent product and, when set to motion detection, it can record for weeks. The GUI and specs are almost exactly like AVER's discontinued NV5000 capture card and Software bundles, which were excellent DVR platforms. Unfortunately, with the release of the EH line AVER has decided to target small retailers, instead of professional security integrators (like me). However, there is nothing lacking in the EH series as it pertains to performance. The only caveat is the limited back up capability of data/events. Otherwise, the EH series is a good performer. And worth the price.
