The WaCru DSLR cage has all the elements needed for my rig after I examined the more popular models from other manufacturers. I didn't want "sliders" or other frills offered by expensive competitors....but I did need a cage compatible with my DIY mixer/DSLR combination. The WaCru has such flexibility and at a good rate. Furthermore, the WaCru cage holds many devices (shotgun mic, wireless receiver, recorder, light, etc.) and has stability when handheld, although I use a tripod most of the time. It's well-made, strong, compact, and easy to pack, other attributes which spawned my purchase, especially I plan to travel.
