We had this dvd player for a year and have had nothing but problems with it. Sent it back to the manufactor twice already and it still won't work. Don't waste your money on this. Trust me. Buy Sony or PanasonicI've learned my lesson!!!!

I bought this DVD player at Walmart, not through Amazon.com

I can't give a very accurate review of this DVD player, as it didn't work from the start there is audio but no video. I tried several different disks, but no picture. This is the second item I purchased recently that was broken when I got it very frustrating. For the price ($100) you would think they would test them before they stick them in the box (the box had not been opened, so it hadn't been purchased and returned). At least I can return it to Walmart tomorrow and try a different brand.

Update: Tried to return to Walmart, but they only have a 15 day return on electronics and it had been 16 days :(

Contacted RCA, mailed it to service center, got it back after about 2 weeks and it works now. It was under warranty, so I didn't have to pay for the repair just the hassle factor. Next time I buy electronics I'm going to make sure it actually works when I'm at the store.

I did not purchase this item via Amazon.com, but did find it on sale last week at one of the big box stores at a fantastic price so I purchased one before it went off sale. The next day I played a dvd I had been wanting to watch and had no problem. Last night I went to play/watch another dvd and it did not work at all. I have had the item less than one week and it is going back to the big box store with me after work. Very disappointed. Thought that purchasing a well known company name's product meant that it was a quality item. I should have read the other reviews online before I purchased.

I have only used it once so far, but my first impressions haven't been great. The picture quality is pretty crappy, it's very loud when playing a disc, and it just feels cheap overall. I'm glad I got it on sale, but I'm still considering returning it.

I purchased two of these players. The first worked for half an hour, the second not at all. I exchanged both of them and neither of them worked. I refused to try again.
