this is a nice little remote for the pentax, works well and does what it's supposed to do.

It works in front of and behind the camera. It will activate the autofocus function if it is turned on in the Custom Menu of the camera.

This control works like they say it does. The range is a little short, but good. The only thing i don't really like it the IR. You have to make sure that the remote is pointed in the right direction to get the camera to respond. Not good for macro. I have gone back to the tried and true on a wire controller.

The Remote is simple in construction, and works well with my Pentax Kx DSLR. Features one button to fire the shutter, settings for this action are set on the camera itself. Product Manual that is included states that the remote needs to be returned to Pentax to have the battery replaced -all you need to be do is remove the screws on the back side of the remote, and the watch-style battery is located under the cover!

IMO, this is an inexpensive, handy accessory that works as its supposed to. The range is a little shorter than I would have liked (about 13') but it still gets the job done.
