Sorry. This was a bad experience. It took months for me to get the unit and when I did, it wasn't this one. It wasn't even this brand!!! I tried calling the seller several times and I couldn't get a response. I began to feel lucky that I got a unit at all for my money. If it will help you, after downloading the product manual for BOTH units, it appears they are nearly identical. Software, hardware, cabinet and all. The unit works very well but.....the so called DVD burner......is only a CD burner and therefore won't hold hardly anything. Also, the .AVI format that is output onto a jump drive can only be read using a PC and Windows if you use the software they give you. The file cannot be read or converted on the Mac. I tried Handbrake, Flip4mac, iSkysoft, VLC and several others. It won't happen. Finally, I cannot have the alarm send a message and picture to my email. It won't come through my provider. It's not labeled as spam but is "unable to send" because the unit doesn't offer a check box for "my server requires authentication" . So, I had to get a Gmail account. It works fine through that.Because these units are so similar, I suspect these issues exist on both. If these issues aren't a problem for you I would have to say they are solid units. Oh....one more thing....there are 2 cooling fans in the unit so it is a bit noisy.
