We purchased this player after researching and reading reviews from a couple sources on a number of different players. The player we have is labeled model#SDVD1030 and is blue. Ours was purchased from "Wallyworld" online for about $100. Knowing how they work it was probably an exclusive online offer for that retailer only. We bought a "car-bag" separately.

It has a very large 10 inch screen. VERY high quality picture. The swivel capability is the biggest reason we took a chance on this player and so glad we did. The bag we bought hangs between the car seats in the middle of the car. Our toddler sits in the rear passenger seat and we are able to angle this screen directly at her. It stays in place well also. The screen actually swivels 180 degrees to face the other way and then flips back down to cover the buttons. It looks almost like a thick Kindle in this configuration. Our daughter loves to use it like this while on the couch. The screen is anti-glare rather than glossy so you are able to view it from the side too pretty well.

The remote works nicely from the back seat but not so good from the front due to placement of the infra-red sensor. I think it's easier to navigate DVD menus with the remote rather than the buttons on the player itself.

The volume is loud enough to annoy you depending on what your child is watching so the included ear-bud is nice if your child will wear it. We're going to try earphones.

The battery has lasted close to 4 hours before dying and that seems adequate for our needs. We keep it plugged in while in the car and that's mostly when we use it.

Make sure to turn the on/off switch off as well as hitting the stop play button before you put the player away or leave the car....otherwise it will self drain the battery. We left the player switched on but not playing a couple times while we were away from the car. Each time when we came back it was dead and we had to start the car back up in order for it to play. The switch is located on the right-hand side along with the volume, SD slot and some inputs.

We've been using this player for almost 6 months now. Our 2 year old daughter watches this player nearly every afternoon for a couple hours. She carries it all over the house and it doesn't skip a beat unless she actually drops it. On the few occasions she has dropped it... all we had to do was re-seat the DVD and start it over. It hasn't ever scorched a DVD so far. It travels 4 hours round trip twice a month and still functions [and looks] like new. This is the only portable DVD player we have ever owned and I would happily purchase it all over again.

When I received this DVD, I insantly put a movie in it. THe movie continued to load until the words "NO DISC" appeared on the screen. I was not able to watch a movie on this DVD or use it. The quality looks cheap. I was very disappointed with the the way the DVD was shipped. A label was put on the outside of the DVD box. It was not packaged in a cardboard box to protect it from being damaged in the shipping process. Very inferior packaging. I would not recommend this DVD.
