I've come to expect that everything I own doesn't have to necessarily come from my own country but I am taking notes as I purchase most everything.

With that being said, I've tried both this and the same one sold by the manufacturer of the camera and I prefer this because of the swivel head function which the other does not. This particular one is quite sturdy, 7 dollars cheaper than OEM, as it were and both were most likely NOT made in my country.

The bolt and plastic neck from pivot ball broke off on my first road ride. Luckily I had already removed my gopro as the part "ejected" quickly off the secure mount on the stem. The adjustment capabilities are cool but the plastic nature of the pivot ball and bolt with neck are a major weakness. I think I'll splurge for the aluminum forward bike mount to securely mount my gopro.
