Day time video very clear, when I drove thru completely dark roads it worked better where my headlights were pointing.

GPS is surprisingly accurate as you can later watch on your PC, with Google Maps showing even what lane I drove.

Mic is (maybe too) sensitive, will record everything in your car, acceleration etc.

After power goes, it will still record for a few seconds, good for when your power goes out after a crash.

It will even save 20 seconds BEFORE any "event"

All in all, I was looking for such a system and was expecting to spend much more.

This little item has been a reel find. I use it on my dash as a video recorder strictly for insurance purposes to remove any of the he said she said issues of an accident. It has a set of 3 motion sensors that records motion in 3 axis, a GPS map coordinate function and a speed tracking function. Its never failed me in the 1 year plus that Ive used it despite the stiff suspnsion of my 4X4. It records in 20 second intervals and the supplied software is designed to work in a Windows based system but those are all work arounds for me, a Mac user. I know plan on installing another to point behind me as tailgating has been elevated to a sport in my city..

I have had this product for a few months, it does its work OK.

The major problem is the firmware, when the disk is about full, it first stop recording car location: when you play the file, you won't see the GPS map. When the disk is full, it won't record anything at all; it should delete the old files to give space for recording by itself. You need to take the disk out and delete files yourself. This is a little stupid because deleting old files automatically is not hard to do.

That's the only thing I don't like about, and it's really inconvenient; I'm looking to buy a replacement.

Another scary fact about this product is; I can't find the manufacture's website. That means no support or warranty.
